Job description

Iris Care Group are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker for our premises in Bristol. Overndale offers 24 hour residential social care and support for men and women with Complex Mental health needs and Challenging Behaviours.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be required to care for adults with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities providing a fulfilling environment where clients can develop to their full potential.

You will also undertake delegated supervisory management responsibilities and provide leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best care practice and optimal outcomes for clients. Previous experience of working in the care sector or a secure environment is desirable.

Normal working week is 39.4 hours worked flexibly Monday to Sunday. If successful, your appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

All staff who work in a service that is registered with Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) will be required to register with Social Care Wales from 1st October 2022. You must also be prepared to work towards/undertake the necessary qualifications to meet the requirements to register.
