The Glen is located on the outskirts of Newport in a beautiful rural location, which has proved ideal for men with forensic histories that preclude city living, or those that require a low stimulus environment.
All the people we support follow an individualised activity plan and are able to pursue their own interests and hobbies. The home has a large garden and poly-tunnel where they may pursue horticultural interests, develop work-related skills, and care for a variety of pets. Individuals are encouraged to develop their skills further, particularly those that may help them secure later employment.
The people we support are supported to learn money management, cookery skills, relationship skills, develop insight into needs, self-medicate, homecare and maintenance skills, and to use public transport independently.
With its good access to the facilities at Newport, The Glen positively encourages community participation and citizenship with individuals joining local sports teams and carrying out local voluntary work.
The Glen has 4 bedrooms plus an accessible ground floor bedroom with accessible ensuite.
