William Street, Swindon
At William Street we offer Supported Living for people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
William Street consists of 6 self-contained flats, all of which have separate bedrooms, bathrooms, and open-plan kitchen and lounge areas. Some of the flats can also offer additional adaptive facilities. The small, secure seated garden to the rear is a popular area for service users to relax or enjoy a social BBQ.
William Street Flats has good transport links to Swindon Town Centre and Swindon West and all the local activities and leisure facilities, such as shops, gyms and cinemas, that they offer. For those with good mobility, the Old Town and the train and bus stations are only a short walk away.
Providing person-centred care is the priority for the William Street team; with a focus on enabling those it supports to build greater independence. The people we support are assisted to maintain their tenancies by providing support with daily living tasks, including cleaning, cooking and personal care, whilst also encouraging them to take calculated risks to further develop their life skills and pursue their interests and passions. We provide a core support model; meaning 24-hour support is available to ensure proactive assistance for individuals as and when they need it.
