Everyone at Iris Care Group is proud to welcome Kim Davies as the new Hospital Director at Pinetree Court Hospital.

Kim started in June 2025 and brings her extensive experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to the role.

Whilst navigating her way through the first month, Kim sat down to talk about her career to this point, her motivation behind applying for the role, and the things she is excited to bring to Pinetree Court.

Tell us about your career so far.

“I have over 20 years’ experience of working with people with learning disabilities.  I started my career as a voluntary support worker in a community supported living home for people with learning disabilities.  This was a role which completely changed my life and revealed a real passion for working with people with learning disabilities and for enabling and empowering individuals.  It was in this role that I discovered learning disability nursing and whilst working as a support worker I commenced my learning disability nurse training.”

Why did you apply for the role of Hospital Director at Pinetree Court?

“I am passionate about helping to ensure that people with a learning disability have an optimal quality of life. I believe in empowering individuals to ensure equitable access across all aspects of life. I believe I can make a difference to all these things in this role.”

“I joined Iris Care Group because of the pathways they have into community living. I believe in these pathways and enabling the successful stepdown into community living. I want to lead the team at Pinetree Court to do this.”

What are your priorities in the role?

“My immediate priority is to build relationships. I want to build relationships with the people we support, their loved ones, the amazing team at Pinetree Court and our commissioners.”

“I believe in compassionate leadership, and I want us to be positive and proactive. I am looking to implement the values I have for person-centred care, least restrictive practice, quality of life and empowering individuals.”
