The College day offers access to experiential lifelong learning which focuses on promoting independence and wellbeing.
Each student follows an individual, balanced and meaningful curriculum and associated programmes of activities, which promote appropriate access to differentiated areas of the curriculum.
Students are offered a wide range of leisure opportunities, beyond the formal classroom timetables.
Each student is encouraged and supported to go out and about as much as possible – cinema visits, bowling, trips to the local leisure centre, meals out or day trips to theme parks, shopping, hiking and even camping.

The Campus
Many of our students are far from their families, so the College aims to create an environment which parents can be confident is safe and secure yet students will find homely and reassuring but at the same time stimulating and fun.
The main College buildings are clustered around an internal garden courtyard and house both the living accommodation and specialist classrooms.
The living accommodation is split into 6 small homes to create a sense of community and safety. Every student has a spacious bedroom which is personalised to suit their own tastes and interests, and with a window either facing onto open countryside or the courtyard garden.
Each home has a number of airy communal social spaces, and students are encouraged to use the kitchen and laundry areas to develop their independent living skills.
The whole campus is used an active learning environment with the campus grounds being home to:
- Art Room
- Horticulture Centre
- Vocational Centre
- Cwtch/Stargazer
In addition, the Vocational Centre also incorporates a separate ceramics studio and a carpentry workshop.
