Emma graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and drama with a BA Hons in Music and then went on to achieve her PGCE. Emma started her career in education in a mainstream school teaching music and then moving on to develop programmes for students with additional learning needs.

Emma took over the role of Assistant Principal in June 2021 after working as the college Music Lecturer for 10 years and Lead Practitioner for the Band 2 student cohort for 2 years.
