From starting as a Positive Practice Worker, to obtaining an Assistant Psychologist post across five community houses, to my final AP post in Heatherwood Court, I have gained invaluable experience and met so many amazing people along the way! I will carry the lessons I have learned from Iris Care Group through the rest of my career. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, and to my HWC team for all of my lovely cards and leaving presents, I will miss working with you all!

I wanted to tell you how amazing it was to see Rocky. Instantly I could see that she was present. Lots of bright eye contact smiles & hugs. It was the best visit that I have had in a very long time. It only goes to show how much progress Rocky is making & what therapeutic work your team is accomplishing. Thank you.

Just looking at my brother these days you can see in his features all the stress has gone and in its place we see a glow, and a sparkle in his eyes once again – something we would see only briefly previously however ever since he moved into his new home with Iris Care Group which was only at the end of Nov 2022, we saw these moments of genuine happiness becoming more and more each day and now all that stress is like a distant memory far away.

I wanted to send a note to all of the team to say thank you so much for all of the care, compassion, kindness and respect you have shown to my Dad whilst he has been a patient at St Peters. I know he isn't always easy to look after with his low moods and feisty attitude at times. There have been so many people that have come in contact with him and he has genuinely always expressed how much people look after him so well when I speak to him. I also got to witness this first hand when I visited; I saw how much he gets from his interactions with the team. His time out in the community is priceless and means a lot. Thank you to the driving team for wandering round and round the motorbike shop each week! Thank you so much

Although I joined with no direct care experience, I quickly realised that with my interest in art and music, I had something unique which I could bring to the role. It has been a pleasure sharing my passion with service users and seeing them respond positively to music and art, even igniting their own interest, has been a joy.

Support Worker, Residential

I recently lost a close family member and staff have been really caring

"My son came under Pinetrees auspices after spending three mostly unhappy years at his previous hospital. He appeared to flourish both psychologically and physically whilst at Pinetree though, and this was particularly evident in the way the transition from Pinetree to his new home went so well. Thanks to all the staff at Pinetree for the excellent care and attention given not just to him, but also to his family."

"I’m doing really well thanks to the staff in Pinetree, despite the difficulties I have had and continue to have, I feel safe and supported."
